Back in 2001 Kevin Thompson had already played for the Frankfurt Galaxy. In between he was under evaluation at the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants and the Buffalo Bills, who had sent him to the Centurions.
And in Cologne Kevin Thompson became the second best passer in the League with 1,561 yards passing and 10 touchdowns before he went to spend two seasons in the Arena League at the Los Angeles Avengers.
