Two top experts from New Zealand and Wales had evaluated the Kiwis and the teams from Oz and USA at the Kandy Sports Club.

What a superb Rugby final it was when Japan had won against Taipei.
Rugby has a large tradition in Kandy and the excitement was large when the young Namal Rajapakse had led his St. Thomas Rugby team through the tournament.
The top heroes were of course the brave men from the national Sri Lankan Rugby team, which always has some great players on the field.
Also the Chinese National Rugby team had shown great efforts during the Rugby 7s in Kandy, where they were led by a top rank delegation.
Always impressive to see the national Rugby team Sri Lanka, which showed a superb match against Thailand.
