However, shopping can be fun in Sri Lanka and in particular Colombo has a few fine stores to offer.
Textiles, Jewelry, DVDs and several other items can be nice bargains.
In particular the Odel Shopping Center has emerged as the prime destination for quality shoppers in Sri Lanka.
Very popular in Colombo is the Majestic Shopping Center on Galle Road with also an IT shopping center right next to it.
Also the wealthy Muslim society loves shopping at the large Majestic Shopping center.
