The high mountain town Haputale is a lively settlement with classic Sri Lankan looks and a very authentic atmosphere, which is created by the three main religious groups, the Tamils, the Singhalese and the Muslims, who all start conducting their early morning prayers one after the other.
Western outfits are rarely seen and the classic Sri Lankan dress codes with sarong and sarees are absolutely dominating in Haputale.
Some small scattered forests are also a part of the Haputale region.
Haputale constructions are available in all kinds of shapes, that are somehow matching to the mountains.
