Opening Day

A fine day with an exciting opener and a dry match between two old champion teams.

Uruguay 0 France 0

100% boredom with Urugay being sort of the winner of day 1 with having survived group favorite France.

South Africa 1 Mexico 1

Bafana's Man of the match Rat Siphiwe Tshabalala wrote history scoring a fine 1:0 lead against the until then dominating Mexicans where Snake Giovani dos Santos had impressed.

In the first half Mexico had all the chances, but failed to covert until Goat Rafael Marquez had equalized. After that Rat Katlego Mphela had a clear 100% chance to score the 2:1, but had failed poorly.

That was the game prediction ...

South African Bafana Bafana is lead by Brasilian coach Carlos Alberto Pereira who was born in a year of the Goat and who is struggeling a lot to get his hyper active men into shape.

Back in 1994 he had won the World Cup with Brazil and now his recepy seems to be a mixture of aggressive Rooster, several elederly Snakes and a few Monkeys who might emerge as his best key players for the Rainbow Nation.

His midfield brain is Dog Steven Pienaar who plays for the FC Everton whilst the defense is built around Rat Siboniso Gaxa.

Overall Bafana Bafana does not seem to be that well configured for the Tiger Year World Cup, what also applies for team Mexico led by coach Dog Javier Aguirre and his key players Rat Cuauthemoc Blanco, Buffalo Guillermo Ochoa.

Mexico may have the better plavers and system whilst Bafana Bafana may reach a draw thanks to fierce fighting and a driving audience.

Prediction: Bafana Bafana 1 Mexico 1

France vs. Uruguay will see again the low flying Gallic Dragon and his top guns Snake Thierry Henry and Pig Franck Ribery who had suffered a recent loss against China that points at a miserable shape at this cosmic moment.

Uruguay is once again driven by coach Pig Oscar Tabarez and his ruler on the field Goat Diego Forlan and Tiger Luis Suarez, the hot striker from Atletico Madrid what seems like a very hard to defeat combination which is likely to win not only the opener against France but also Group A.

Prediction: Uruguay 2 France 1
