Cats eat frogs and pretty much anything, that's not too big and certainly that poor little frog was bound to die on the way up.
In this case the frog was very fortunate and the white cat got chased away.
And actually that cat was howling all day and night to express it's sorrow about the departure of the previous owner of that house and porch, where it was residing.
Every now and then the cat had also brought some dead rats which it had killed near the house.
But one day the cat was gone. Perhaps killed by an army of rats or caught by some Khmer, who had wanted to eat it. In fact, some Khmer eat pretty much everything what includes dog, cat and all kinds of animals.
