It took decades to find it and it is not even available anywhere other than than in Cambodia.
Preparations start at the local market where the challenge is to find a good lady, who will sell you a kilo of freshest lime fruit, juicy as hell and with immaculate color for $0.75.
Next stop is a Khmer booze shop, where a liter of Smirnoff sells for some $9 so that the entire investment comes to around $10 for getting your party started with some 50 tasty cocktails.
Frozen lime juice at Khmer quality combined with Smirnoff is a real solid experience compared to the way too sweet and chemical Thai breezers, that sell at irrational rates of around $2.50 at stores.
But Thai markets do not sell the perfect lime fruit so that you will need to come to Cambodia to get the real deal.
Food markets in Phnom Penh are affordable and the selection is very sufficient so that all types of superb fruit flavor can be added with ease.
Sweet Mango, Pineapple and Water Melon can be some nice components as well, but nothing beats the sour lime.
